Senior Project Engineer, Pipeline

Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.We are seeking to welcome a Senior Pipeline Project Engineer to the Pipeline Team. The ideal candidate will be a team-oriented engineer with expertise in pipeline systems and pipeline engineering design with gas industry experience. This person will have experience working in both an office and field/site environment providing gas pipeline design, valve automation/remote control, and pipeline facility system design. The Senior Pipeline Project Engineer will work alongside the current VG Pipeline Team and support multiple projects at the same time.Responsibilities:Provide oversight for EPCM and Construction ContractorsReview and comment on Engineering deliverables, plans and procedures including pipeline, Meter Stations, and compressor stationsReview and comment on Construction Contractor plans, schedules, and proceduresProvide project management support to Venture Global pipeline projects as neededSupport other functions with permitting, planning and execution activitiesPrepare reports, assist with presentations related to the pipeline projectsAct as owner’s engineer / Owner representative as neededSupport review and approval of Contractor invoices, change orders and schedulesPreparation of Hydrostatic Test Letters and review of test packagesAssist with cost estimates and cash flowsAssist with development of Task OrdersAssist with site audits and field visitsSupport PHMSA and FERC visits and data requestQualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering9 or more years of natural gas pipeline industry experience preferred, with demonstrable experience in Project Engineering and Construction Management4 or more years of pipeline field experienceKnowledge of applicable natural gas industry construction practices, FERC, and agency requirementsPMP certification a plusKnowledge of engineering design standards and applicable natural gas industry codes and regulations; must stay current on technology, industry standards and materialsUnderstands concepts of asset lifecycle management, system reliability and gas transmission operationsExcellent verbal and written communication.Venture Global LNG is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
