They will also have strong knowledge of all Physical Security systems and will be asked to serve as both an escalation point for installations and troubleshooting and a technical advisor to clients.Essential FunctionsConfiguration of physical security and supporting systems at a high levelProgramming and commissioning line diagrams and as builts.Technical oversight of project engineering and configuration tasksDocumentation and end user trainingServe as a subject matter expertServe as a technical advisorServe as an escalation point for troubleshootingDevelop and oversee project commissioning and testingParticipate as a trainer in A3U and other training programsPerform end-user trainingOther duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsHold and retain certification in at least three VMS systemsHold and retain certification in at least two access control systemsHold and retain enterprise/advanced-level certification in at least one access control or VMS'sHave a minimum two years of experience configuring physical security systemsHave served as a Lead Technician - Physical Security (or equal) for a minimum of two yearsMust pass pre-employment background check and drug testKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesHave basic knowledge of network fundamentals, SQL database and Windows ServerHave proficiency in peripheral systems such as visitor management, video intercom, LPR, analytics, gate systems, etc.Have mastery of IP camera technology, controller hardware, door hardware and credential technologiesHave the ability to communicate at a high level with customer IT staffHave the ability to work with customer to design system configurationsfunction as an engineering resource for the project team on typical physical security projectsParticipate in project commissioning and testingAssist in the enforcement of standards related to final documentationPossess basic system design and quoting abilities to assist sales when neededPhysical DemandsThis position requires physical activity consistent with a construction or installation environment. The employee will spend more than two-thirds of their time standing, kneeling, crouching, stooping, using hands to handle or feel, and reaching with hands and arms. Approximately one-third of the time may be spent walking and engaging in verbal communication or listening. Frequent lifting and moving of materials weighing between 25 and 50 pounds is required.Work EnvironmentThis role may involve travel to project sites and exposure to a variety of environmental conditions. These may include outdoor weather, proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery, and the use of hand tools or hardware.
