Commercial Solutions Specialist - Marketing & Demonstration Expert
Overview:
The Commercial Solutions Specialist is responsible for carrying out field related activities of our business. Marketing and promoting sales of STIHL products among commercial end users throughout the territory. This position will also perform technical and application-based trainings or demonstrations with end users when appicable.
Company Vehicle and Expense Reimbursement will be part of the package with this position.
General Responsibilities:
· Conduct field related activities among end users that support STIHL product sales / initiatives
· Marketing new business opportunities from Municipalities, Universities, Landscapers, Tree Service, and other commercial users throughout the assigned area
· Product Demonstrations in the field
· Conducts STIHL product sales, safety and maintenance seminars & various other trainings
· Transports required materials, sets up/closes down training eq. for demos, sales events, OH, trade shows, etc
· Develops and implements training programs for product demonstrations, usage, service, sales etc. to be marketed to dealers and other parties in order to demonstrate, train and support STIHL products
· Actively markets programs through various media including bulk mailings, telephone and personal solicitations, trade show activities and other functions as assigned
· Performs other related duties as assigned
Skills Required:
o Associate degree or higher preferred; or 4 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
o Bilingual – English / Spanish – a plus
o Excellent written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills
o Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
o Mechanical aptitude a must as well as a working knowledge of small engines
o Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks
o Exceptional customer service orientation
o Required travel as needed, dependent on area of responsibility (plan approx 30 nights annually)
o Disciplined & self-motivated with the ability to plan one’s work and work one’s plan to achieve desired results and company sales goal
o Ability to train or demonstrate _ Stihl _product's features and benefits in a controlled group environment
