Payroll SpecialistA fast-growing organization is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to independently own and manage payroll operations for approximately 600+ employees across corporate and field operations.This is a highly visible, standalone payroll role within a collaborative HR team. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and enjoys owning the full payroll function from start to finish. This position is best suited for someone who thrives independently, takes pride in accuracy and process improvement, and is comfortable operating without direct reports.What You’ll DoProcess full-cycle, multi-state payroll for 600+ employeesManage payroll changes including new hires, terminations, deductions, garnishments, bonuses, commissions, and PTOAudit payroll data and reconcile payroll prior to submissionEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulationsPartner with HR and Finance on payroll reporting, audits, and employee inquiriesHandle quarterly and year-end payroll activities including W-2 processingMaintain payroll records and support process improvements and automation initiativesServe as the primary point of contact for payroll-related matters and vendor coordinationAssist with payroll reporting and HRIS data validationQualifications5+ years of full-cycle payroll processing experienceMulti-state payroll experience requiredAbility to work independently and take ownership of the payroll function
