Senior Oracle Database Administrator
Role/ Title: DBALocation: Denver, CO, United States Mandatory SkillsStrong expertise in Oracle Database Administration MongoDB Administration Amazon DynamoDB Strong SQL, PL/SQL, and query optimization skills Job DescriptionWe are looking for a highly experienced DBA with 10–15 years of experience supporting enterprise-scale databases. Key Responsibilities:Administer, maintain, monitor, and support Oracle, MongoDB, and DynamoDB environments Manage database installations, upgrades, patching, backups, recovery, and replication strategies Ensure database availability, reliability, performance, and security across production and non-production environments Design scalable relational and NoSQL database architectures Create logical and physical data models based on application requirements Optimize schema design, indexing, partitioning, clustering, and storage configurations Lead database migration and modernization initiatives from legacy platforms to Oracle, MongoDB, or DynamoDB Perform schema conversion, data migration, validation, and cutover planning Analyze and resolve database performance bottlenecks Tune SQL queries, stored procedures, indexes, and execution plans Optimize MongoDB collections, aggregations, sharding, and replication Improve DynamoDB throughput, partition key design, auto scaling, and cost optimization Configure and maintain HA/DR solutions including Oracle RAC/Data Guard, MongoDB replica sets/sharding, and DynamoDB global tables Automate database administration tasks using Python, Shell, or PowerShell scripting Work with AWS cloud services related to databases and infrastructure Collaborate with developers, architects, DevOps, and security teams to ensure compliance and best practices Required Experience10–15 years of DBA experience Hands-on experience with AWS cloud platform Strong knowledge of indexing, partitioning, clustering, and sharding concepts Experience with monitoring tools and database health checks Experience with migration tools and ETL/data integration processes Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD integration is a plus Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
