Job DescriptionSwing Shift Weld Operator I - Full TimePay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Weld Operator I to perform MIG and TIG welding across a variety of material gauges, alloys, and positions. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on metalworking experience who takes pride in producing high-quality welds and meeting precise specifications. Key ResponsibilitiesSelect appropriate gas and wire for each welding processPerform MIG and TIG welding on customer products to specificationCut materials using oxy-acetylene and plasma torches as neededRead and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematicsFabricate, join, and repair metal componentsExecute groove, fillet, lap, butt, and full-penetration weldsPerform multi-pass welds and full-penetration stacksWeld holes up to 2 inches deepBuild basic fixtures and straighten welded partsVisually inspect welds, tools, and equipment for defects or wearPerform carbon air arc cutting (testing required)Operate forklift (certification required/current) RequirementsMinimum 6 months of sheet metal or metalworking experienceAbility to use MIG and TIG to perform basic butt and fillet weldsAbility to read blueprints and follow written and verbal instructionsStrong hand dexterity with welding toolsBasic math skills (addition and subtraction)Ability to obtain AWS D1.1 or D1.3 certifications if required
