Sodexo has an exciting new opportunity for Full-Time Registered Dietitian to support Montgomery County Public Schools in Christiansburg, Virginia, near Virginia Tech University. This position is 46 weeks per year with school breaks off including months of June and July off! This is a great opportunity for a new or experienced Dietitian! No Holiday's!Reimbursement for Academy dues, state licensure fees and CDR renewalMoney toward continuing education eventsUp to $5000 tuition reimbursement annuallyWhat You'll DoPartner closely with the Executive Chef in selecting healthy menu items, evaluating sales and determining what can be offered differently, and promoting nutritional campaigns;Conduct lunch and learn educational sessions and create regular communications intended to motivate and engage the students in healthy eating habits;Manage nutrition databases including PrimeroEdge and Nutrislice; Work with nutrition issues related to food allergies, weight management and disordered eating patterns and other medical issues requiring meal selection assistance;Participate in Health Fairs, community events and develop and deliver presentations as needed to support client goalsWhat We OfferCompensation is fair and equitable, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience. If you need assistance with the application process, please complete this form.Qualifications & RequirementsMinimum Education Requirement: Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) Credentials Requirement: Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian
