This role supports daily operations of the meat and seafood department, including product handling, merchandising, and customer service.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide outstanding, friendly, and knowledgeable customer serviceAssist customers with product selection, preparation tips, and special ordersProperly handle, cut, package, and label meat and seafood products as neededMaintain fresh, full, and visually appealing displays in service cases and self-service areasEnsure all products meet company quality standards and are rotated correctly (FIFO)Follow all food safety, sanitation, and temperature control guidelinesReceive, inspect, and properly store incoming deliveriesMaintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, equipment, and storageAssist with inventory management and minimizing shrink/wasteSupport team members and contribute to a positive work environmentQualificationsPrevious experience in a grocery, meat, seafood, or food service environment preferred (but not required)Strong customer service and communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasksBasic knowledge of meat and seafood products is a plusWillingness to learn cutting, handling, and food safety proceduresDependable, punctual, and team-orientedPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods of timeAbility to lift up to 50 lbs regularlyComfortable working in cold environments (refrigerated areas)Frequent bending, lifting, and reaching
