This position would also be responsible for start up of the electrical control panels.Essential FunctionsCommercial wiring work in a manufacturing environmentAiding in construction of building - installing siding, trim work, hanging doors, and other associated tasksRunning, bending, and hanging conduitPulling wireInstalling boxesMaking terminationsSupport installation of new control panelsWiring generators and control panelsMaterial handlingCompetenciesBasic electrical knowledge preferably in a manufacturing environment - including how to read plans and specificationsKnowledge of NEC CodeKnowledge of how to use basic hand tools such as hammer, drills, and various sawsKnowledge of how to use and read levels and tape measureProblem Solving/AnalysisStrong Communication SkillsFlexibilityMultitaskingDetail orientedWork EnvironmentThis job operates in a typical shop environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. There is also frequent use of power tools, including saws, and forklift. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and reach with hands and arms. The employee will be required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
