This role reports to the Senior Manager of SCADA, RTS and PI.Operational Technology is at the heart of how the organization safely and reliably operates critical infrastructure. As OT environments continue to evolve—through modernization, integration, data, AI, and growth initiatives—the ability to clearly explain value, align teams, and support strong decision‑making is more important than ever.This role is central to that mission.The OT Strategic Business Analyst acts as a connector between business teams and highly technical OT specialists, helping translate outcomes into action and ensuring alignment around why we invest, what value we expect, and how we move forward together.If you are passionate about Operational Technology and excited by the future ahead, this role offers meaningful influence and visibility in shaping that future.What You’ll DoTranslate complex OT initiatives into clear, outcome‑focused narratives that resonate with business leaders and executivesArticulate how OT investments enable safety, reliability, risk reduction, and long‑term enterprise valueElevate conversations from technology details to business outcomesAct as a trusted partner between business teams and OT domain experts (SCADA, Measurement, Real‑Time Systems, Infrastructure)Facilitate productive conversations that align priorities, clarify trade‑offs, and build shared understandingEnsure strong alignment across teams that operate and communicate very differentlyChampion the strategic value of OT data and how it supports better decision‑makingHelp enable future AI‑driven insights by translating the value of OT data and how it can be safely combined with corporate dataSupport alignment between OT teams, data and analytics teams, and business stakeholders—while respecting OT safety and governance boundariesSupport OT strategy and portfolio planning by translating business priorities into actionable roadmapsDevelop business cases, options analyses, and decision support materialsBring structure and clarity to complex, cross‑domain problem spacesProvide analytical support during periods of growth and organizational changeWork closely with senior leaders across business and IS to shape priorities and decisions impacting critical operational systemsMinimum QualificationsUniversity degree or diploma in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline7+ years of experience in business analysis, strategy, portfolio investment planning, or similar rolesDemonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business languageProven experience engaging senior leaders and producing executive‑ready materialsUnderstanding of OT data and how it is fundamentally different from structured dataPreferred QualificationsExperience working in or alongside OT or industrial environments (energy, utilities, pipelines, manufacturing, etc.)Experience working with OT platforms and ecosystems (e.g., AVEVA)Exposure to capital planning, large initiatives, or M&A activitiesThis position requires candidates to:Have current, valid authorization to travel internationally (including but not limited to Canada, US and Mexico)Occasionally travel to other company locations for temporary assignments, meetings or trainingTo remain competitive, support our high-performance culture and allow for more flexibility in the way we work, we offer a hybrid work model and flexible dress code for our eligible office-based workforce in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico.About Our BusinessWe are a leader in North American energy infrastructure, spanning Canada, the U.S. and Mexico.
