Position:Future Operational Planner (FOPS)Location: Honolulu, HIJob Id:714of Openings:1Future Operational Planner (FOPS)Location: Camp Smith, HI (Honolulu Area)Clearance: Active DoD TS/SCI (or eligible)Company: JMark Services, Inc.Position OverviewJMark Services is seeking a Future Operational Planner (FOPS) to support planning operations within the U.S. Marine Forces Pacific (MARFORPAC) G-5 Plans Directorate.This role is responsible for supporting the development and execution of operational plans across training events, exercises, contingency operations, and future initiatives. The FOPS applies structured planning processes, operational art, and analytical rigor to translate strategy into executable plans across the Joint Planning and Execution Community (JPEC).You will serve as a key contributor to both current and future operations, helping synchronize planning efforts across multiple stakeholders while delivering decision-ready products to leadership.What You'll DoThis is where strategy meets execution—and where good planners start becoming great ones.Apply the Marine Corps Planning Process (MCPP) and/or Joint Planning Process (JPP) to develop operational plans and ordersLead and support Operational Planning Teams (OPTs) for deliberate, crisis action, and contingency planningProvide expertise in force management processes, including sourcing, allocation, and apportionmentSupport Crisis Action Planning Teams (CAPTs) and assist in transitioning plans into executable operationsDraft and refine operational orders and modifications (e.g., FRAGOs, WARNOs, branch plans)Review and analyze operational plans and directives, providing actionable recommendationsIntegrate emerging capabilities, including cyber and other functional areas, into planning effortsSupport planning battle rhythm events, ensuring timely capture and dissemination of notes, briefings, and productsMaintain planning documentation in accordance with records management and classification requirementsCoordinate planning efforts across functional teams to ensure alignment between current and future operationsConduct analysis and produce planning products under tight timelines and operational constraintsWhat You BringRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in a relevant field6+ years of experience in operational planning, analysis, or a related disciplineDemonstrated experience applying structured planning processes to support organizational objectivesProven ability to develop operational plans, draft orders, and coordinate across multiple teamsStrong analytical, writing, and briefing skillsAbility to meet government workplace requirements and maintain required access/eligibilityPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in a relevant fieldExperience supporting joint, combined, or multi-organizational planning environmentsKnowledge of operational art and design conceptsExperience integrating emerging capabilities (e.g., cyber, exercise planning) into operational planningBackground supporting contingency, crisis action, or training exercise planning effortsExperience delivering executive-level briefings and analytic recommendationsCore CompetenciesYou're not just executing tasks—you're building the blueprint.Operational planning and execution disciplineAnalytical thinking in complex, fast-paced environmentsClear, concise writing for operational and executive audiencesCross-functional coordination and stakeholder engagementAdaptability under pressure and shifting prioritiesImpact & GrowthThis role is designed for professionals ready to grow into senior planning positions.Contribute directly to operational and contingency planning in the Indo-Pacific theaterGain exposure to joint planning environments and senior leader decision-making cyclesBuild expertise in force management, operational design, and multi-domain integrationPosition yourself for advancement into Senior Planner or SME rolesWhy JMark?At JMark Services , we don't just fill roles—we build capability.You'll be part of a team supporting real-world planning at a strategic level, where your work directly impacts mission readiness and execution.J-18808-Ljbffr
