MRI Technologist

Job Summary and QualificationsObtain quality MRI images of patients. Complies with radiation safety guidelines. Operates MRI equipment safety including screening all patients for contraindications. Demonstrates the ability to perform all necessary computer operations.  Render patient care in a professional and courteous manner. Observant of patients’ conditions. Prepare MRI scanner and perform quality control tests. Administers contrast media as required. Reviews each exam for technical accuracy and identifies anatomical orientation on all images. Completes and maintains educational requirements. Prepares patients, collects relevant information for completion of procedures. Understands and operates electronic information systems. Participates in Department QA as requested. Keeps department neat, orderly and well stocked.  Ensures patient safety, to include cleaning the bore of the magnet as required. Other duties as assigned.  What qualifications you will need: Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start dateVocational School Graduate(ARRT-MR) Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or (ARRT-R) Radiography, or (ARMRIT) American Registry of MRI Technologists must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date Benefits Chippenham Hospital, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
