Salary: $200,000 – $275,000 annuallyLocation: 5200 West Century Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90045Full-Time, Onsite (8:30 am - 5:30 pm) We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead engineering operations across a large-scale manufacturing environment. This role will oversee plant engineering, equipment reliability, facility systems, automation, controls, infrastructure, and capital improvement projects.The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineering leader with strong manufacturing experience, proven team leadership, and the ability to manage complex projects from planning through execution.Key ResponsibilitiesLead engineering initiatives focused on plant performance, reliability, efficiency, safety, and scalabilityOversee plant systems, utilities, infrastructure, production equipment, automation, controls, and PLC systemsManage capital projects, facility upgrades, equipment installations, expansions, and process improvement initiativesLead, coach, and develop a team of 11 engineering employeesPartner with Operations, Maintenance, IT, Logistics, and Supply Chain to support manufacturing goals and resolve technical challengesManage project scope, budgets, timelines, vendors, schedules, risks, and deliverablesIdentify cost-saving opportunities through process improvements, system upgrades, vendor optimization, and operational efficienciesSupport automation, manufacturing technology, reporting tools, and data-driven decision-making initiativesEnsure engineering activities comply with company standards, safety requirements, and regulatory guidelinesDevelop and implement engineering strategies, procedures, and best practices to support long-term operational excellenceQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred5+ years of engineering management experience in a manufacturing environmentStrong background in plant engineering, utilities, facility systems, production equipment, automation, and controlsExperience managing capital projects and large-scale equipment implementationsStrong understanding of electrical systems, industrial infrastructure, manufacturing operations, and equipment reliabilityProven ability to lead teams, manage budgets, solve complex technical issues, and drive continuous improvementStrong cross-functional communication skills with the ability to partner across Operations, Maintenance, IT, Logistics, and Supply ChainEquivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degreePreferred QualificationsProfessional Engineer licenseLean Six Sigma Green Belt or higherPMP certificationCertified Manufacturing Engineer certificationOSHA 30 certificationPLC / automation systems experienceERP systems experience, AS400 preferredWork Environment & Physical RequirementsThis role is primarily office and plant-based within a manufacturing environment. The position may require time on the production floor, interaction with equipment and plant systems, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
