Role DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Telecom Lineman to join our team in Farmingdale, NY. This role is responsible for the daily planning and execution of aerial construction, including fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) projects, HFC construction, and pole transfers, while ensuring safety compliance during operations. The role involves working with heavy equipment, addressing technical issues, and collaborating with a team to meet project deadlines effectively.QualificationsExperience and proficiency in operating heavy equipment (eg., bucket trucks and reel trailers)Ability to climb utility poles and work aloft using hooks and laddersAbility to place, sag, and lash aerial fiber optic and coax cableRead and interpret engineering plans and construction printsPerform maintenance and troubleshooting in a fast-paced field environmentAbility to follow safety protocols in fieldwork and aerial construction activitiesStrong problem-solving skills and the capacity to work effectively in a teamWhat We're Looking ForMinimum 5 years of aerial fiber construction experienceValid driver's licenseAbility to lift up to 75 lbs and work in all weather conditionsCompany DescriptionASI Fiber Group specializes in providing telecommunication infrastructure needs, including aerial construction for fiber optic cable installation, underground directional boring, and cable placement.
