The selected candidate will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for [e.g. operating and maintaining or supporting] the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.Open to internal BNH candidates and external candidates. The selected candidate for this requisition must be available to work any shift and shift determination will be made based on the priority of work at the time the selected candidate is cleared to report to work.Job SummaryThe successful candidate will under general supervision perform manual work in the testing, operating, and/or assembly and shop areas of an engineering test facility.Job Duties:Following specific instructions, performs a wide variety of laboring tasks either inside or outside, subjectall kinds of weather conditionsMay be required to perform any or all the following representative assignmentsPerforms heavy manual work, such as digging and backfilling trenches and holesMoves furnitureMixes, carries, and places concreteLays drainpipe other than cast ironSpreads dirt, cinders, or gravelOperates asphalt kettle, distributor, electric and air tools, pumps, and concrete sawsWorks with shovels, pick axes, jacks, brush cutters, and other hand toolsMoves, loads and unloads coal, earth, supplies, equipment, and other materialsAssists craftsmen, operators, technicians, and others by carrying, cleaning, pushing, lifting, pulling,moving or holding tools, materials and equipmentCleans tools, shop areas, machines, and equipment as requiredUses shovels, chemical deicers and other material to remove snow/ice from steps, walkways and otherareasRemoves, bags, or wraps and disposes of asbestos containing materialIt is a condition of employment to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policyPerform other duties as requiredBasic Qualifications:Must possess High School Diploma or equivalentTwo years of work experience is required. Work experience in construction and building and landscape maintenance desired.Any pre-screening/tests required (not including standard background/clearance checks)Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and the AEDC local area networkCurrent U. S.
