Pharmacy Technician

Duration: 6 contracts Position Summary We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support a high-volume Prior Authorization and Production team. This role is responsible for handling inbound calls, supporting prescription processing workflows, and ensuring accurate documentation. The technician will serve as a key point of contact for members and providers, while escalating clinical-related inquiries to the pharmacist. This role primarily focuses on Production, with opportunities to cross-train in patient outreach, intake, shipping, and prior authorization functions. Key Responsibilities Handle high-volume inbound calls from members, providers, and healthcare partners Provide professional assistance through the criteria-based prior authorization process Route all clinical questions and judgment-based decisions to the pharmacist Accurately document all calls, transactions, and inventory activities in a timely manner Support production workflows, including prescription processing and fulfillment tasks Collaborate with pharmacists and team members to ensure efficient operations Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards Assist in additional functions such as patient outreach, intake, shipping, and prior authorization as needed Core Duties Deliver excellent customer service via phone and written communication Maintain accurate and complete records of inventory and workflow activities Ensure proper handling and documentation of prescription-related information Support team operations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Escalate complex or clinical concerns appropriately Required Qualifications Active Washington State Pharmacy Technician License in good standing High School Diploma or GED (verifiable) Experience in a high-volume call center environment Strong customer service skills (verbal and written) Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications Experience in healthcare, pharmacy, or social services Familiarity with prior authorization processes Experience with pharmacy systems or prescription processing About US Tech Solutions: US Tech Solutions is a global staff augmentation firm providing a wide range of talent on-demand and total workforce solutions.
