Security Guard

White Sands, a HumanGood life plan community (CCRC) in beautiful La Jolla, CA, is seeking a part-time Security Guard to join our team.  As the largest nonprofit owner/operator of senior living communities in California and one of the largest in the country, we are more than just a place to work. We are here to ensure that our residents are provided with every opportunity to become their best selves as they define it, and this begins with YOU.  Part-Time: NOC SHIFT  Saturday and Sunday at 11:30 p.m. - 7:30 a.m. Pay Rate: $20.00-22.50 / hour To be successful in this role, you would have: Guard Card required High school diploma or equivalent Prior security guard experience required Job Duties: Provides effective and courteous service to all residents, guest and team members; Ensures community and grounds are secure by monitoring surveillance equipment; Patrols community on a regular basis throughout shift; Assists maintenance personnel in the event of an emergency; Provides high visibility and presence to assure residents of caution and care; Documents any unusual findings, completes incident reports as needed; Maintains radio contact with front desk; Responds to emergency radio calls; Follows procedures for emergencies including aiding and directing emergency vehicles and personnel as needed; Ensures any safety hazards are removed or corrected as needed; May respond to emergency alarms.
