React / React Native Developer

PeerSource is currently recruiting for a React / React Native Developer on a Contract basis. This role can be based remotely anywhere in the United States, with a preference towards CT/ET timezones. No third parties please.SummaryWe are seeking an experienced React & React Native Developer for a contract engagement focused on building web and mobile application functionality. The developer will translate existing proof-of-concept designs from a working Netlify/Supabase application into front-end components while also building a new cross-platform mobile application using React Native and Expo. The work is expected to be approximately 60% React and 40% React Native, requiring experience in both.ResponsibilitiesBuild production-ready React front-end components based on designs and functionality demonstrated in an existing proof-of-concept application.Develop a new cross-platform mobile application using React Native and Expo for iOS and Android.Translate existing Netlify/Supabase POC functionality into scalable, maintainable application components.Develop reusable components and application functionality across web and mobile environments.Integrate front-end applications with APIs and backend services, including Java-based services where applicable.Collaborate closely with and receive technical direction from the team’s lead React developer.Troubleshoot application issues and optimize performance, reliability, and user experience.Deliver high-quality functionality within a fast-paced, short-term development engagement.Required Skills5+ years of development experience with strong proven experience across both React and React Native.Experience building production web applications with React and cross-platform mobile applications with React Native (Expo preferred).Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills and knowledge of modern front-end development practices, reusable component design, API integration, and application architecture.Ability to quickly understand an existing proof of concept and translate it into production-ready functionality.Experience with Netlify, Supabase, Java-based backend integrations, and/or Cloudflare technologies is a plus.No third party or C2C reach-outs.
