Extreme Gym is seeking a full-time Director of Gymnastics & Athlete Development to lead, grow, and elevate our Recreational and Team gymnastics programs. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coach development, program quality, curriculum execution, team culture, event preparation, and overall program growth. The ideal candidate is organized, energetic, experienced in gymnastics instruction, and confident leading both staff and athletes in a fast-paced, family-focused environment. This position is ideal for a long-time competitive team coach who is ready to transition out of a full-time coaching schedule while remaining an integral part of daily gym operations, program growth, staff development, and athlete success. This role does not include regular weekly coaching hours as part of the standard schedule; however, actively coaching classes or teams may be needed at times based on program needs, staff coverage, events, or special circumstances. For candidates interested in retaining a limited active coaching schedule, that option is open for discussion. Primary Responsibilities:
Recreational Program Leadership
Provide hands-on floor monitoring and coach training
Oversee staff and overall floor operations daily
Review and update recreational lesson plans monthly
Maintain and update recreational coach training resources
Lead monthly recreational coach training meetings, or additional meetings when necessary
Create, monitor, and adjust class schedules as needed
Event Responsibilities
Create routines for recreational and team programs
Teach routines to coaches and assist with routine preparation
Assist with showcase planning, décor, logistics, and event flow
Be onsite during events to help manage staff, gymnasts, and the overall experience
Contribute fun, creative, and engaging ideas to enhance existing events and create new ones
Team Program Leadership
Manage and train team coaches
Conduct and lead parent meetings as needed
Plan and attend outside team events
Plan in-gym team events, fun days, and team-building activities
Prepare gymnasts for showcase and performance events
Manage team staff
Continuously scout and help grow team programs, including maintaining and increasing pre-team enrollment and options as needed
Staff Leadership & Operations
Make coach hiring and termination decisions
Manage staff scheduling
Conduct regular coach evaluations
Manage staff disciplinary actions when necessary

The ideal candidate will have:
Strong gymnastics coaching experience
USAG Competitive team coaching experience
Experience leading, training, or mentoring coaches
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to manage both recreational and competitive/team programming
A positive, energetic leadership style
A passion for developing athletes, coaches, and program culture
Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
Compensation & Benefits
~ Salary: $60,000+ per year
~ Schedule: Full-time, 35-40 hours per week
