We are looking for ateam that is excited to create a program that provides quality care and education to children andtheir families. Our two classrooms are planned to be open in the Fall of 2025 and will include aToddler 3-5 and School Aged 6-12 classroom, located at 325 Niagara Street in Providence, RI.The Toddler Classroom Teacher Position is a full-time position Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:30PM. The after-school and summer camp program is a part-time position during the school year,M-F 2 PM – 6 PM, and full-time, M-F 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM, during summer and school vacationbreaks.McAuley Village is a housing program for women led families with children that prides itself onoffering programs and services that help the family live their best life possible and assists themom in all ways possible to achieve housing and financial security. Quality childcare is a criticalneed that enables these families to gain financial independence.RESPONSIBILITIESThe classroom Teacher works under the supervision and guidance of the Education Coordinatorand is responsible for the following:Plan and implement program curriculum based on RIELDSCreate and execute classroom level curriculum; (2) The development andimplementation of a nurturing environment for the children; and (3) Communication withfamilies.Provide appropriate accommodations and modifications for children using RIELDS asguidance.Ensure classroom meets DHS Child Care Regulations for licensure.Maintain current child assessment information in compliance with DHS Child CareRegulations for licensure and BrightStars quality continuum including assessments,screening, anecdotal observations, parent/teacher conferences, IFSP/IEP and otherrequired forms.Utilize positive guidance techniques with children, including redirection, modelingappropriate behavior and praise.Work in partnership with families to ensure high quality care and education for children.Active participation in parent/teacher conferences two times per year.Provide training and supervision of Teacher Assistants, volunteer/interns duties andresponsibilities and assist in their development as early childhood professionals.Monitor the development progress of each child through observation and data collection.Utilize child data to inform, develop and individualize curriculum.Attend a participate in staff meetings.Use and disclose confidential information only as authorized, as necessary to carry outjob duties.Qualifications:QUALIFICATIONSMust meet all the qualifications in one (1) of the following options:(1) Option 1: The individual holds a High School Diploma with a vocational concentration inChildcare and has two (2) years' supervised experience in a licensed/approved EarlyChildhood Program.(2) Option 2: The individual holds a high school diploma or a General Education Development(GED) certificate and has three (3) years' supervised experience in a licensed/approved EarlyChildhood Program.(3) Option 3: The individual holds a Child Development Associate (CDA) and has one (1) yearSupervised experience in a licensed/approved Early Childhood Program.(4) Option 4: The individual has completed twelve (12) credits in Early Childhood Education orfield related to Early Childhood Education from an accredited institution of higher educationand has at least three (3) months supervised experience in a licensed/approved EarlyChildhood Program.Option 5: The individual holds an associate's degree or higher in a field related to EarlyChildhood Education, Child Development, Human Services or Recreation from an accreditedinstitution of higher education, attain 24 hours of approved professional development per yearand meet RIELDS requirements.SKILLSExperience with direct service with toddler ages 3-5 and/or youth ages 3-12.Responsible for overseeing the planning, development, implementation and evaluationof a broad range of recreational programs in the areas of Education, The Arts, STEAM,Social Recreation, Leadership, Sports, etc.Family Engagement: Foster strong partnerships with families through communicationand support that promotes the children's developmentAdministrative Tasks: Maintain accurate records of children's progress, staff training, andprogram assessment.Intermediate computer skillsBi-lingual, Spanish speaking is beneficialValid driver's licenseCPR/AED/First Aid CertificateDCYF and BCI clearancesAwareness of governing regulations for specific classroomsAbility to exert physical effort in light to moderate work involving lifting, carrying, pushing,and pulling.Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, climb and balanceSALARY AND BENEFITSSalary is commensurate with experienceBenefits include vacation, sick/personal, paid holidays, health insurance, dentalinsurance, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, and a 401(k) plan with 3%employer match.How To Apply:Please submit CV/Resume to Barbara Haynes, Executive Director, McAuley Ministries atbhaynes@mcauleyri.org.Other Information:Please submit CV/Resume to Barbara Haynes, Executive Director, McAuley Ministries atbhaynes@mcauleyri.org.Where Do Applicants Need to Apply?Please submit CV/Resume to Barbara Haynes, Executive Director, McAuley Ministries at bhaynes@mcauleyri.org.Program Name: Teachers for Today Program Address: 836 Middle Rd East Greenwich Rhode Island 02818 ______________________ Position Description: Join ourProgram Name: Dr. Day Care Program Address: 1207 Douglas Pike Suite 4 Smithfield Rhode Island 02917 ______________________ Position Description: JobProgram Name: Dr. Day Care Program Address: 1207 Douglas Pike Suite 4 Smithfield Rhode Island 02917 ______________________ Position Description: JobBrightStars, Rhode Island's Tiered Quality Rating and Improvement system, assists families in finding care and recognizes and supports quality in early care and education programs.J-18808-Ljbffr
