Senior Data Visualization EngineerLocation: Waltham, MA (initially remote, then will be hybrid) Contract to PermJob Purpose:The Senior Data Visualization Engineer is a collaborative role on the Solution Delivery Data Management Team responsible for supporting internal stakeholders, including Supply, Engineering, Regulatory, Strategy, Finance, HR, and others. This candidate will work closely with Product Owners, and Technical Leads, as well as project leads to drive project planning and execution of complex enterprise Analytic solutions within set project targets and deadlines.Key Accountabilities:Designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions.Work with business users to define and prototype solutions on Power BI and related o365 framework.Strong understanding of Power BI application security layer models.Strong understanding of data modeling techniques for large scale BI initiatives.Gateway Installation, Configuration, setup and design, security, configuration updates. Experience with extensions, Snowflake, SQL Server, SAP BW/Hana connectivity.Experience with Capacity Creation and Management, Deployment Pipeline creation, Data Connection creation and update, User and Group access provisioning.Performance troubleshooting and platform Testing and tuning, license tracking activities.Power BI Dashboard/Apps level Development, maintenance, Support/troubleshooting, enhancement, Hands-on Experience with Power BI Client tools like Desktop installation, upgrade etc.Managing Users and LicensesManaging Power BI Premium CapacitiesCompliance and AuditingMonitoring UsageData Privacy and SecurityRow-Level SecurityRestricting Sharing and PublishingAssist in Power BI System and Reporting GovernanceDAX calculationsRequired Skills: Qualification Requirements: 5+ years of experience with Power BI 7+ years of working experience in data warehousing or data analytics/visualization projects. 3+ years of professional experience in Administering Power BI tenant. Create and maintain data gateways. Experience in building DAX expressions Experience with public cloud data platforms such as Azure (SQL DW, Data Lake, Data Factory) or Snowflake. Experience with machine learning, Python, or R is a plus.
