Pay: $16-17/hrLocation: DeKalb, Sycamore, Rochelle, Hinckley, Sandwich, Somonauk, Maple Park, Genoa, Hampshire, Kirkland, and surrounding communities.Job Type: Full-time, Part-timeWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate in-home caregiver to provide essential support to local seniors in need of assistance with various daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, light housekeeping, cooking, and especially companionship! This position requires a deep understanding of senior care practices and the ability to develop meaningful relationships with clients.This caregiver role is great for folks with decades of experience, have gotten a taste of the power of caregiving through helping family, or even folks looking to get their foot in the door of the medical field.Essential Requirements:All applicants must have a valid driver's license, active car insurance, and a reliable vehicle as this job does require driving the clients for errands/appointments.Availability Requirements:Monday – Sunday 8am-8pm12hr day shifts 2-3x a week, or,4-8hr days, some days 2+ shifts in a day to continue refining your skillsBenefits:$16 - $17/hr starting pay for all caregivers, direct deposit twice a monthPaid TrainingPaid Time Off2 Week SchedulingUniform tops includedQuarterly caregiver meetings/gatheringsIL Secure Choice Retirement PlanBCBS of IL Medical Insurance Plans (FT)Humana Dental Insurance (FT)Humana Vision Insurance (FT)Duties:Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. *You must be comfortable assisting clients of any gender with personal care.Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring their comfort and security. This includes day-to-day housekeeping tasks such as sweeping, dusting, mopping, washing the dishes, making the bed, completing laundry, etc.Monitor client health and report any changes or concerns to the office.Engage clients in social activities to keep them engaged throughout the shift.Assist with transportation needs for appointments or social outings as required.Document care provided and maintain accurate records of client progress.Prior to working for our clients, all Home Instead caregivers-we call ours Care Pros-will go through specific paid training designed by Home Instead and will receive an in-house certification in Personal Care tasks. These tasks include demonstrating ability to assist our clients with grooming, bathing, continence care, and mobility. If you are need fingerprinting completed, the employer will notify you and help coordinate this appointment.All candidates must perform drug screening during new hire training. Drug screening is done in the office at the expense of the employer.
