Job DescriptionDaystar Television Network is seeking an experienced Writer (proven knowledge), to work at their Headquarters in Bedford, Texas (in office). Must be a Christian who is personally committed to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. SummaryTransforming ideas and themes into quality content, exceptional storyteller with consistency of craft and creativity, and thorough research skills, with the ability to summarize information concisely.Key ResponsibilitiesPassionate about communicating the Gospel and impacting lives across the globe. Knowledgeable of biblical themes and narratives, and comfortable communicating such in writing. Ability to research, formulate ideas, and tell stories via written form, for both print and television. Using words to inspire others to action. Working with a team to create something new and exciting. Provide ideas and creative input to maximize the impact of every project. Utilize creative and concise writing skills to inspire others with content. Producing the best possible scripts and documents as needed. Developing articles, Web Copy, Corporate correspondence, e-blasts, social media content, press releases, and more. Results driven, able to meet deadlines and adapt to schedules within production required. Committed to excellence in craft. Must be a team player. Able to accomplish various other duties as assigned. Must be able to provide writing samples. Various formats preferred such as articles and spec scripts (particularly as it pertains to talk show format copy)Must be a Christian who is personally committed to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Must be able to work extended hours during special events. EducationBachelor’s degree in Writing, Public Relations, or Television required. Five years’ experience in writing, web content, publications, or television preferred. Exceptional skills in writing, storytelling, proofreading, and copy editing a must. PhysicalMust be able to sit at workstation for extended periods of time and excessive walking, moving. Must be able to work shifts as scheduled. Must be able to work extended hours if necessary.
