Produce Manager

The Produce Manager is responsible for leading all produce department operations, including product quality, freshness, merchandising, inventory management, and team leadership. This role ensures compliance with company standards and food safety regulations while driving sales, controlling shrink, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team DevelopmentLead, coach, train, and develop produce department associates to meet performance and service expectationsCreate effective schedules aligned with business needs and labor standardsProvide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and corrective action as neededFoster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and customer-focused serviceProduce Department OperationsOversee daily operations including receiving, rotation, trimming, stocking, and merchandising of produceEnsure adherence to quality, freshness, and presentation standardsManage forecasting, ordering, inventory levels, and vendor deliveriesEnsure department cleanliness, organization, and proper maintenance of fixtures and equipmentFood Safety & ComplianceEnsure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulationsMaintain accurate temperature logs, inspection records, and documentationEnsure proper handling, storage, rotation, and disposal of producePrepare for and respond to internal and external auditsSales, Margin & Shrink ControlDrive sales through effective merchandising, displays, promotions, and seasonal executionManage shrink, spoilage, and markdowns in alignment with company standardsAnalyze sales trends and department metrics to optimize labor and product mixControl department expenses and support overall store financial performanceCustomer ExperienceDeliver outstanding customer service and resolve escalated customer concernsEnsure product availability, freshness, and visual appeal meet customer expectationsMaintain a clean, safe, and customer-ready department at all timesJ-18808-Ljbffr
