Welder and Fabricator

Talley Sign Company (Chesapeake), a VA based, full service Print and Sign Company, is seeking a highly skilled individual who is an experienced metal fabricator to work in our Chesapeake, VA facility. The applicant must be able to read/interpret sign shop drawings, and set up and operate fabrication equipment. They will ensure the construction of custom fabricated signs from start to finish. An understanding of basic welding skills for fabrication of aluminum is essential. They will be working on a variety of different projects and must be able to work in a fast paced environment. The individual should be a team player, and an imaginative problem-solver with a mechanical aptitude who is looking for a job with variety and creativity. We need experienced sign fabricators/welders who are able to: Familiar with sheet metal fabrication Strong verbal and written skills, basic math skills Responsibilities and Requirements: Must be thorough and accurate with strong attention to details. Ability to work individually and as a team. Must have a high level of quality and care in their work. Maintain clean work area. Ability to manage multiple tasks Experience: A minimum of 2 years’ experience Aluminum and Steel metal fabrication and welding Welding procedures Shears, brakes, and other metal forming equipment Able to read and interpret technical documents and drawings Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
