Analyze or synthesize patient data to draw conclusions or make recommendation for therapyReview research or literature in music therapy or related disciplinesAsses patient functioning levels, strengths, and area of need in terms of perceptual, sensory, effective, communicative, musical, or other abilitiesCommunicate patient assessment finding and recommendation in oral, written, audio, video, or other formsConfer with professionals on patient's treatments team to develop, coordinate, or integrate treatment plans,Customize treatment programs for Hospice populationDesign music therapy experiences to meet patient and family goals or objectivesEstablish patient goals or objectives for music therapy treatment, considering patient needs, capabilities, interests, overall therapeutic program, coordination of treatment, or length of treatmentUnderstands hospice philosophy and issues of death and dyingImprovise instrumentally, vocally, or physically to meet patient's therapeutic needsObserve and document patient reactions, progress, or other outcomes related to music therapy and HospicePlan or structure music therapy sessions to achieve appropriate transitions, pacing, sequencing, energy level, or intensity, in accordance with treatment plansPlay musical instruments, such as keyboard, guitar, or percussion instrumentsBenefitsCompetitive payEvery Friday is payday!Great team environment!RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Music TherapyBoard Certified (MT-BC)Proof of current classroom CPRCurrent Driver's LicenseMust have reliable transportation and insuranceWe hope to speak with you about the rewarding nature of hospice nursing!
