Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Responsibilities: Create and drive continuous improvement initiatives related to manufacturing processes, automation, equipment, and operational technology Lead and manage the manufacturing engineering and maintenance teams, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management Oversee manufacturing capital projects to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and with minimal disruption to operations Serve as the subject-matter expert for assembly processes, controls, traceability systems, torque management, poke-yokes, and end-of-line testing Support new business quoting and feasibility activities by identifying process, equipment, and manpower requirements Manage departmental capital expenditures and tooling/equipment budgets Develop, maintain, and improve manufacturing engineering procedures, standards, work instructions, and business operating system documentation Lead APQP manufacturing engineering deliverables and support product development milestones and launch activities Support and maintain compliance with IATF16949:2016 and ISO14001:2015 standards Partner with purchasing and vendors to develop strategic supplier relationships for equipment, facility, and service support Participate in safety initiatives, workplace inspections, accident investigations, and continuous improvement safety programs Monitor and report department KPIs while implementing corrective and preventive actions for ongoing improvement Support operational leadership reviews, budgeting processes, and long-term manufacturing strategy initiatives Perform other duties as assigned Required Experience: Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience 5+ years of experience in automotive manufacturing or related manufacturing environments 3+ years of experience managing engineering and maintenance personnel Strong background in manufacturing processes, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives Experience managing manufacturing capital projects and departmental budgets Knowledge of APQP processes and manufacturing launch activities Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Experience with manufacturing quality systems and operational KPI management Preferred Experience: Experience with assembly processes and controls in automotive or advanced manufacturing environments Background with traceability systems, torque control systems, and poka-yoke/error-proofing processes Experience supporting IATF16949 and ISO14001 compliance initiatives Experience leading lean manufacturing, safety, or 5S initiatives Strong understanding of manufacturing equipment and process optimization Benefits: Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance 401(K) Paid Time Off Salary: $100K-$120K Ask for: Brenna Job Id: 26283 Ajulia Executive Search is a New Jersey based Executive Search Firm specializing in retained searches in multiple sectors, including Manufacturing, Finance, IT, Legal, and Pharmaceutical.
