About the Opportunity:The Long-Term Care Auditor I is an entry-level role responsible for ensuring the accuracy of Medicaid payments made to long term care healthcare providers. This position supports the organization's mission by conducting audits, analyzing financial data, and liaising with providers to identify and recover improper payments. The role contributes to maintaining financial integrity in Medicaid payments and requires strong organizational and communication skills to manage multiple priorities and maintain effective provider relationships.3. Responsibilities:Interpret and apply federal and state Medicaid regulations related to long term careAnalyze provider records across various accounting systems to find discrepanciesIdentify improper payments due to inaccurate payments, collections, or coordination of benefitsServe as the main contact for assigned long term care providers, ensuring clear communicationManage a caseload of 30 or more audits in different stagesPrepare and deliver reports to providers and maintain communication throughout auditsProvide regular updates and reports to management4. Requirements:Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree with five years of related experienceStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work independently and manage competing deadlinesExcellent organizational and time management skills to meet audit and revenue targetsStrong written and verbal communication skills to build relationships with providers and internal teamsFlexibility to adapt to changing priorities and follow directions5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:The pay range for this position is $45,000.00 to $55,000.00 per year, with variation based on geographic region, internal equity, knowledge, skills, and experience6.
