Job DescriptionWe are seeking a professional and vigilant Security Officer to join our team in Washington, United States. This full-time position involves working morning, evenings, overnight shifts and weekends to ensure the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and assets.

What you will be doing:
Control access to the facility by checking identification and issuing visitor badges
Monitor surveillance equipment and alarm systems, responding promptly to any alerts
Conduct regular security checks of buildings, grounds, and parking areas
Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate logs of all security-related activities
Assist in emergency situations, including coordinating with local law enforcement when necessary
Enforce company policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment
Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a professional demeanor
Help the team and the guest by undertaking other duties and responsibilities that may be requested by your or a manager.
Maintain a positive service attitude at all times and be willing to help and advise clients with all questions and requests they may have.
Patrols public areas to detect fires, unsafe conditions, and missing or inoperative safety equipment.
Obtains assistance for accident victims and writes accident reports.
Assists management and enforcement officers in emergency situations.
Receives and delivers Lost and Found and packages
Helps maintain safety of hotel guests and employees by conducting bag checks on all people entering and exiting the hotel through the employee entrance.
Responds to reports of suspicious behavior or security threats.
Aids as requested in the special security needs of high profile guests.
Complies with legal regulations pertaining to Security and law enforcement, and respects confidentiality requirements of the department.
Other duties as required during their shifts to maintain the safety and security of our guests and colleagues.
Rate of Pay : $23.00-$25.00 per hour
QualificationsBasic computer skills for report writing and communication
Previous exposure to hospitality Security strongly preferred.
Ability to obtain the Security Officer Commission required and must have a valid security license.
Excellent verbal and written English
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Valid security officer license for Washington, D.C.
Strong observation and reporting skills
Knowledge of security protocols and procedures
Proficiency in using security equipment (e.g., surveillance systems, radios)
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Basic computer skills for report writing and communication
First Aid and CPR certification (preferred)
Familiarity with local laws and regulations
Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment in high-pressure situations
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50lbs
