Intake Clerk- bilingual
The Intake Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for individuals and families seeking social care services. This role is responsible for welcoming clients, answering phones, conducting initial screenings, collecting basic demographic and eligibility information, obtaining consent, and scheduling intake appointments. The Intake Receptionist ensures accurate data entry, maintains confidentiality, and provides a compassionate, respectful experience while supporting care coordination and program compliance. Must speak English and Spanish
Key Responsibilities:
Answer incoming calls and greet walk-in clients professionally
Explain available social care services and obtain verbal consent
Collect and verify basic client information (name, DOB, household details)
Conduct brief intake screenings and route clients appropriately
Schedule assessments and intake appointments
Maintain accurate records in electronic systems and protect confidentiality
Communicate effectively with case managers and supervisors
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Strong communication and customer service skills
Basic computer and data entry proficiency
Experience in healthcare, social services, or community-based settings preferred
Ability to work with diverse populations with empathy and professionalism
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
