Compensation & LocationLocation: Torrance, CAPay Range: $55.00 – $62.00 per hour (based on experience and internal equity)Schedule: Full-time, contract; long-term opportunityWork Type: 100% OnsiteBenefits: Health, Vision, Dental, Life Insurance, 401k, Continuing and on-demand education📍 Must be willing to work onsite in Torrance, CA (LA County)✅ Sponsorship is available for this role‼️ ONLY W2 – NO CORP to CORP – NO 3rd PartiesPosition OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Java Developer / Tech Lead to design, develop, and support large-scale enterprise backend systems and digital applications.This role will focus on microservices architecture, cloud-based development, and delivering high-performance, scalable solutions while supporting digital transformation initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesApplication Development & Architecture• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale backend systems using Java/J2EE technologies• Build microservices and event-driven architectures for scalable, high-performance applications• Apply object-oriented design principles, design patterns, and modern development techniquesCloud & Platform Development• Develop and deploy applications on AWS cloud platforms• Work with containerized environments using Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift• Implement serverless and cloud-native solutions where applicableIntegration & Messaging Systems• Develop integration solutions using messaging systems such as Kafka, JMS, and Red Hat AMQ• Work with application servers such as JBoss and WebSphere• Build enterprise integration solutions across distributed systemsDatabase & Data Management• Work with relational and NoSQL databases including RDS and DynamoDB• Design and optimize data access layers using JPA, Hibernate, and related frameworksAgile & DevOps Practices• Participate in Agile development processes and ceremonies• Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for continuous delivery• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality softwareLeadership & Collaboration• Act as a technical lead, guiding development teams and supporting solution architecture• Provide production support and troubleshooting for enterprise applications• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver strong digital customer experiencesRequired Qualifications• 7–12 years of experience developing enterprise applications and backend systems• 5+ years of experience in a technical leadership role (Tech Lead, Team Lead, etc.)• Strong experience with Java/J2EE and frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring Data, JPA, and Hibernate• Experience with microservices architecture and event-driven systems• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift)• Strong knowledge of messaging systems (Kafka, JMS, AMQ)• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices• Strong problem-solving and communication skillsPreferred Qualifications• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field• Experience in the automotive industry• Experience with Python or AI/ML frameworks• Relevant technical certifications• 3+ years of Big 4 consulting experience• Stable work history within large enterprise organizations
