Quality & Safety Coordinator

Title: Quality & Safety Coordinator Department: Operations Employment Status: Full time Core Hours: 6:30am – 3pm, Monday – Friday / Hours are subject to change based on customers’ demands. FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Position Overview: The Quality Safety Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. This position requires wearing multiple hats, including quality control, safety management, emergency response, and process improvement. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Key Responsibilities: Conduct regular quality inspections and audits to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. Develop, implement, and maintain safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. Identify and address potential safety hazards and quality issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary. Conduct required weekly OSHA training for employees, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Provide training and guidance to employees on quality and safety best practices. Assist in the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency. Conduct regular training sessions for employees on emergency procedures, first aid, and fire safety. Quickly respond to medical emergencies, fire incidents, or other urgent situations within the facility. Provide first aid and basic medical care to injured or ill employees until professional medical help arrives. Implement fire safety procedures, operate firefighting equipment, and conduct regular fire drills. Liaise with external emergency services (EMS, fire department, etc.) to ensure they are informed and can efficiently assist during emergencies. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of quality and safety inspections, incidents, treatments provided, safety drills, and corrective actions. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in quality control or safety management preferred. Proven experience in a quality control, safety, or emergency response role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment. Minimum OSHA 10 training certification required. Certified in First Aid, CPR, and AED (Automated External Defibrillator). Strong understanding of quality assurance, safety principles, practices, and regulations. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams. Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Good physical condition to perform the duties of a first responder effectively. Proficiency in using quality and safety management tools and software Comments: Position may require the ability to work before or after normal business hours to accommodate customer needs.
