Senior Consultant IIThe Senior Consultant II will provide technical expertise on project tasks to ensure quality services are delivered on schedule and within the available budget to meet customer requirements. As part of a project team, Senior Consultant II will maintain relationships with clients and key decision makers to help identify new business opportunities.What You Will Do:Provide cybersecurity expertise on project tasks to ensure quality services are delivered on schedule and within available budget to meet customer requirements and provide frequent updates to the project managerAssist project manager with defining and sequencing project tasks, estimating task duration and developing a project schedule as part of developing a project management planReview project management plans to understand the scope, schedule and assigned work authorizationPlan and schedule client meetingsParticipate in client and project team meetingsAssist with research and data analysis, including assisting with conducting customer or stakeholder analyses.Prepare written documents, reports, and presentationsDevelop conclusions and recommendations, draft reports, and assist with client presentationsAssist with giving oral presentations to clientsTrack and report hours spent executing projectsCollaborate with individuals at all levels, provide input to reports and other deliverables, execute multiple assignments, meet agreed deadlines, and adjust to changing client demandsPerform quality assurance on project deliverablesDevelop relationships with existing customers to facilitate development of new business opportunities for current and/or additional servicesLearn, understand and be conversant in ABS Consulting cybersecurity products and services, including ISA/IEC 62443 industrial cybersecurity, NIST Cybersecurity Framework implementation, Zero Trust architecture, and OT/IT convergence consultingMeet with new and existing clients and actively listen to their needsCommunicate client needs to project managers and supervisors, to include emerging threats, regulatory changes, and security technology requirementsReview published reports and news articles about existing and potential new clients to identify customer intelligenceParticipate in proposal development, including writing proposalsRepresent ABS Consulting and participate in promoting our products and servicesParticipate in marketing activities, conference presentations, technical whitepapersNetworking to meet new potential clientsWhat You Will Need:Education and ExperienceMust have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience8+ years of relevant professional experienceAbility to obtain Security Clearance requiredKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to gain, retain, illustrate comprehension of learned technical knowledge, and transfer knowledge to other members of the teamAbility to mentor/coach entry-level consultants and hone technical skills in othersAbility to actively listen to the needs of our clients by receiving shared information, determining context of the information provided and generating probing questions to better understand, retaining the information for future access, engaging and collaborating with sales team on potential opportunities, and responding with solutionsOpenly accepts change is part business evolution to meet the needs of our clients, provides recommendations to enhance business, and drives change across the department.Possess a firm understanding of key performance indicators and their significance to the business and take action to drive results amongst their departmentAbility to utilize established rapport and role as a subject matter expert with existing clients to facilitate development of new business through identifying and consistently generating new business opportunitiesAbility to coach others on development of customer intimacy and new opportunitiesMust take responsibility for their actions, behaviors, decisions, and results and those of the team they leadAbility to utilize root cause analysis to improve performanceMust understand departmental goals and holds self and team members accountable for keeping commitments and high standardsMust acknowledge and learn from mistakesMust be dependable and consistentMust actively participate in daily activitiesAbility to demonstrate independent, objective, open-minded thinking with strong attention to detail and sound judgmentDemonstrate a proficient level of time management skillsWorking knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Management SystemMust be willing and able to travel 50% or more of the time as necessary to meet business needsSalary: $115k–$140kCountry Requirements US Citizenship required for roles supporting government contractsReporting Relationships Reports to a manager, director, or executive level position
