Together, we hope to create a thriving, diverse, and welcoming community where all people can work and live.Essential DutiesThe Program and Events Coordinator is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of Partners in Diversity programs and events. This role works under supervision of the Senior Program Manager to deliver high-quality experiences and exceptional customer service to 300+ member organizations, community partners, sponsors, and participants.Support the Senior Program Manager in the planning, coordination, and delivery of high-quality educational and engagement programming focused on workplace inclusion, leadership development, and community engagement. Programs may include, but are not limited to, Breakfast for Champions, Lunch and Learns, workshops, Equity Conversations, Say Hey!, and the biennial NW Equity Summit. Coordinate logistics and event operations for in-person, hybrid, and virtual programs and community events, including venue coordination, catering, registration, volunteer support, digital platform management, event production, post-event communications, surveys, and administrative follow-up. Create and maintain program-related communications and content, including newsletters, sponsor reports, website updates, social media content and postings, promotional materials, and participant communications, with guidance from the Senior Program Manager and Executive Director. Coordinate and support the implementation and sustainability of Professional Resource Group (PRG) initiatives and related engagement activities by working with the co-Chairs of each PRG. Support building, publishing monthly newsletters, and managing website content, blogs, event pages, and landing pages to support member engagement and organizational communications. Design and prepare PowerPoint presentations and other materials for training, workshops, and events, insuring high-quality visual design and consistent branding. Provide administrative and staff support for Leadership Council, committee meetings, and organizational initiatives as assigned. QualificationsAssociate degree from college and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Two or more years of experience in program coordination, administration, marketing, communications, customer service, or a related field preferred. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent professional communication skills both written and verbal. Strong attention to detail, process improvement, and timeline development skills. Strong time management, planning, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain a sense of urgency, and support high-quality, timely program execution. Highly organized, proactive self-starter with the ability to handle a wide variety of tasks. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc. Experience creating and managing email newsletters and communications using Emma, MailChimp, or similar platforms preferred, but not required. Experience in visual design and content creation tools, including Canva and Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, preferred but not required. Some experience in WordPress preferred. Team player, collaborative, and thoughtful. Cultural competency and ability to work with various community and industry representatives. Demonstrated interest in continuous learning and professional skill development. LOCATION: Portland, OR – This position will have the opportunity to work remotely two days per week.WORKING CONDITIONS The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment. No or very limited exposure to physical risk. The employee may be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 20 pounds. Occasionally, that requirement may be higher. Must have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance, as well as access to a personal vehicle to transport event equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet and, at all times, is within safe OSHA decibel constraints. Salary And BenefitsSALARY: $26.44 per hour ($55,000 when annualized) Our company benefits include: Hybrid work environment (three days in the office, two days remote or similar). 18 paid holidays plus one floating holiday per year. $245 monthly transportation stipend.
