By combining build and operations, we deliver agentic systems that are reliable, secure, and scalable in real-world use .Job DescriptionAbout the RoleWe are building the next generation of our chat experience, transitioning from a human-assisted workflow to a fully agentic, AI-driven system. As an AI Agentic Software Engineer, you will create re-usable AI agents that will be used across Xfinity applications. Your initial focus will be to enable agentic capabilities at our Xfinity Assistant (chat application) with a strong passion for customer experience and a commitment to building intuitive, high-quality interactions.You will work in a Google-centric ecosystem, leveraging tools such as Agent Development Kit (ADK) and Gemini Enterprise to orchestrate complex, agent-driven customer experiences.What You'll Do:Agentic & AI-Augmented EngineeringDesign, build, and operate agentic systems that replace or augment human workflowsApply AI across the SDLC, including:Requirements and spec-driven developmentSystem and agentic workflow designAI-augmented coding and refactoringAI-driven testing and defect remediationTreat AI as a collaborating system, not a one-off toolEvaluate and iterate on AI outputs (e.g., LLM-as-a-Judge)Platform & Production DeliveryBuild production-ready agent-based solutions with reliability, scalability, and observabilityImplement agent-to-agent, agent-to-UI, and human-AI orchestrationContribute to AgentOps, MLOps, and AI governanceEnsure ethical, compliant, and responsible AI useCollaboration & InfluenceClearly communicate how AI is used in your engineering workflowsShare patterns and best practices with the teamPartner with product, UX, and platform teams to deliver cohesive experiences.What You'll Need:5-7 years building agentic AI systems in production, or equivalent experience designing, shipping, and operating scalable, production-grade software (APIs, platforms, workflow engines, or customer-facing applications)Hands-on experience with Agent Development Kit (ADK) and PythonExperience with Gemini Enterprise, or similar conversational AI platformsSpec-driven development with AI integrated into the development lifecycleStrong prompt engineering skills, including evaluation, iteration, and loggingExperience leveraging AI-assisted coding across multiple features or defects in parallelFamiliarity with AgentOps and production monitoring for agent-based systemsExperience with LLM-as-a-Judge or comparable evaluation techniquesProven ability to design agent-to-agent, agent-to-UI, and human-AI collaboration patternsSoft Skills: Curiosity to explore emerging AI capabilities, critical thinking to assess AI outputs, and adaptability in fast-moving, ambiguous environmentsDisclaimer: This information has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees in this role.
