Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Full Stack Java Technical Lead role based in Cary, NC. The Senior Full Stack Java Technical Lead will design, develop, and maintain end-to-end healthcare software solutions, with responsibility for both backend services and modern web frontends. This role includes leading technical design sessions, defining architecture, reviewing code, and ensuring best practices for performance, security, and scalability. The Technical Lead will guide and mentor engineers, coordinate with product owners, architects, QA, and DevOps, and translate business requirements into robust technical implementations. Daily work will involve hands-on coding, troubleshooting complex issues, supporting production environments, and continuously improving engineering standards, tools, and processes.QualificationsStrong full stack development skills, including Java/J2EE, Spring/Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue).Proficiency in backend engineering fundamentals such as microservices architecture, object-oriented design, design patterns, and test-driven development.Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, including schema design, performance tuning, and data integration in distributed systems.Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP), containerization (Docker), and CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.Demonstrated technical leadership skills, including mentoring engineers, conducting code reviews, driving architectural decisions, and collaborating across cross-functional teams.Strong understanding of secure coding practices, API security, and compliance-aware development; healthcare or regulated industry experience is a plus.Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; prior experience in healthcare technology is highly beneficial.
