Production Area Manager – Die CastingMajor and established international company has an opportunity at one of their large plants which is located near Savannah, GA for a Production Area Manager – Die Casting. In this role will direct the activities of Production Supervisors, Group Leads, and other Lead positions to maximize production volume, maintain schedules, ensure safe operation of all machines and equipment, and to optimize cost and quality considerations. In this capacity will have 8 or 9 direct reports. Will assist with budget and P&L. It is a high pressure aluminum die casting environment as well as machining and assembly that is also high volume / high complexity. Relocation assistance is available and there is bonus potential. There is also promotion potential. Very large capital investments were made in the plant last year and so far this year.Job ResponsibilitiesMonitors and determines manufacturing costs and outlay, quality and quantity of goods produced, production methods, tooling applications, and ensures the effective use of production hours, skills, machines, equipment and facilitiesParticipates in planning production schedules, technical requirements and manufacturing controls related to all manufacturing operationsExpedites scheduled production, investigates and resolves delays and initiates corrective action.
