Registered Nurse Crisis Intervention
Title: Registered Nurse Crisis Intervention Role Summary The Client is seeking Registered Nurses to support its Crisis Intervention Team. This is a field-based role where nurses provide medical and mental health assessments for individuals experiencing homelessness across New York City, including streets, subways, parks, and shelter environments. Nurses work closely with Client Crisis Coordinators, outreach teams, hospitals, and law enforcement to identify individuals in crisis, coordinate care, and facilitate safe transport to medical or psychiatric services when necessary. Key Responsibilities Conduct medical, mental health, and safety assessments in field settings Support outreach teams in engaging individuals experiencing homelessness Identify individuals requiring urgent medical or psychiatric intervention Initiate emergency responses under Section 9.58 of the NY Mental Hygiene Law when required Coordinate with hospitals, transport teams, and law enforcement for continuity of care Provide direct medical support and maintain accurate clinical documentation Collaborate with hospital clinicians (CPEP) and community partners Basic Requirements Active New York State RN License AHA BLS Certification Minimum 2 years of behavioral or mental health experience Strong crisis intervention and communication skills Ability to travel across NYC boroughs and work flexible shifts #ZRHC #TB_RNWhy TalentBurst?
