Vehicles Controls & Dynamics Engineer

We are seeking a Vehicle Controls & Dynamics Engineer for our new Broomfield, Colorado office. The Controls & Vehicle Dynamics Engineer will develop and implement advanced control laws, stability augmentation, and dynamic modeling for air vehicles. You will ensure robust maneuvering, attitude control, and successful transition between flight phases.Responsibilities:Develop and implement flight control algorithms for both boost and ramjet phasesAnalyze vehicle stability and dynamic behavior during boost, transition, and sustainBuild and validate linear/nonlinear models of vehicle dynamicsIntegrate control laws with propulsion inputs and guidance requirementsSupport simulation environment development (MATLAB/Simulink, Python)Conduct hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulations and software testingRequirementsQualifications:B.S./M.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, Controls, or Systems Engineering3-10+ years of experience in flight control, stability, or vehicle dynamicsDemonstrated experience with control law development and implementationStrong skills in MATLAB/Simulink, Python, or equivalent modeling toolsExperience with multi-phase flight regimes and dynamic simulationsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with missile, UAV, or high-speed flight control systemsBackground in model validation, HIL simulation, or embedded control testingFamiliarity with propulsion/vehicle interaction during variable thrust eventsBenefitsMedical, Dental and Vision
