Details 36-bed adult surgical unit in a hospital setting Primary patient population includes orthopedic and trauma patients, with additional specialties such as plastics and general surgery Focus on patient mobilization and rehabilitation in a high-acuity environment Day/Night rotation schedule with 36 hours per week Telemetry monitoring required Requirements Active NH or compact RN license required BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma setting Proficiency with chest tubes, trachs, and laryngectomies Experience managing IV drips including Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, and amiodarone Experience with lines, tubes, and drains for post-surgical patients Central line care, maintenance, and blood draws experience required Complex wound care experience required Two professional references from managers required for consideration Additional Information Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position Care responsibilities include managing high-acuity post-surgical patients with complex needs including trachs, central lines, and complex wounds American Traveler Job ID P-686435.
