Best Company.Job SummaryThe Corporate Paralegal provides both paralegal and administrative support for the Corporate Legal Department.Duties and ResponsibilitiesContinuously exhibit and uphold Core Values of Integrity, Accountability, Communication and Teamwork, Innovation and Customer ServiceSupport corporate legal staff in execution of their duties including research and data compilation relating to the Company and its subsidiariesRespond to inquiries from outside counselAssist with subsidiary board and corporate governance mattersHelp prepare and file regulatory filingsDraft correspondence, letters and memorandaMaintain Department Compliance calendarPrioritize and respond to a wide range of questions from internal business partners and external stakeholdersInteract with senior level executives and directorsMaintain and improve logs to track vendor contractsAssist with obtaining signatures on and copies of executed contracts and approval documentationUpload new and existing contracts to contract management databaseOrganize and maintain corporate recordsMaintain corporate entity compliance including monitoring, corporate compliance and tracking filing due datesRespond to internal and external audit requestsMaintain directors and officers listMaintain legal entity organization chartPerform all other duties, assignments and projects as assigned by managementKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge of contract language and structureDeveloping knowledge of P&C Insurance industryIntermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office SuiteExcellent deadline management, analytical and research skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organizational skillsAttention to detail and ability to organize complex informationHigh level of initiative and motivationAbility to work independentlyAbility to communicate with all levels of the organizationAbility to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive company informationAbility to follow through a project to completionExperience and EducationAssociate's or Bachelor's degree requiredParalegal Certificate requiredLicensed Notary requiredMinimum of three years of relevant experience in a public company legal department or in a law firm servicing public company clients requiredPlease note that this position is not eligible for H-1B visa sponsorship.
