Roberts, Matejczyk & Ita Co., LPA (“RMI”), an established AV-rated firm, seeks a Senior Attorney (7+ years minimum) to join our reputable practice. A strong litigation background is required. Salary is commensurate with experience. This position does not require billable hours, but instead focuses on recoveries for our clients and exceptional work, while maintaining a good work/life balance. This position requires: on-site scene visits (fires, water losses, explosions, etc.); the coordination of scene exams, experts, and involved parties; the ability to quickly discern the need for experts and retention of same; lab exams; and developing theories of liability. The qualifications for the position include:Licensed and in good standing to practice law in the State of Ohio (an Indiana or Kentucky license or ability to waive into Indiana or Kentucky also highly preferred)Identifying potential theories of liabilityDrafting related correspondence and/or litigation documents/pleadings/motionsHandling court conferences, depositions, and trialsProviding client reporting and recovery analysisCommunicating with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and courtsUnderstanding insurance coverages very helpfulUnderstanding recoverable damages and current lawRMI’s practice extends statewide across Ohio and Indiana and is expanding into Kentucky as well. Excellent organizational and time-management skills are essential.
