A reliable and dependable individual to assist and work with our other Construction Manager(s). Someone who has many years of project management experience in the public and private sector and has run projects and is familiar with all of the phases of a construction project. We need a person who loves challenges, loves to problem-solve, and is solution-oriented. A great collaborator with clear over-communication. Ability to adapt quickly to changes in urgency and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines. Additionally, either capable or willing to learn to be an asset to aid in reviews and negotiations as needed. The overall goal of this position is to support and optimize risk management/construction management as a resource for all other departments in the company to mitigate risks wherever possible. Key ResponsibilitiesSupport and report to the current Construction ManagerInterface with all companies and departmentsSpecial or focus projects supervision/ involvement in OperationsReview of contract documents as needed including, but not limited to, agreements, specs, reports, PLAs, OCIPs, NDAs, etc.Schedule review and inputChange order, claims, etc.CommunicationsOversight of the Contracts Team and ability to contribute support as neededOversee the review or generation of agreements including, but not limited to, upper-tier contracts, lower-tier contracts, subcontracts, procurement, service, NDAs and confidentiality agreements, consulting, software, etc. Review of software agreements for Technology and other departmentsReview of consulting agreements for companyLegal Liaisons for projects and companyInsurance Liaisons for projects and companyReview and support compliance efforts with safety, field, accounting/ finance, etc. Review of credit applications terms and conditions for Accounting/ FinanceReview of bid documents as requested by Estimating including, but not limited to, agreements, specs, reports, PLAs, OCIPs, NDAs, etc.Develop training concerning construction management, contracts, engineering, etc. as neededDevelop SOPs and templates as needed for training and policy developmentAdvise/review other company literature including, but not limited to, policies and procedures as necessaryQualificationsRequired:10+ years’ experience in project management in the ACEC industry.Preferred:Bachelor’s degree in a related or an equivalent fieldExperience and knowledge of job-tracking, budgeting, procurement, scheduling, forecasting, etc. Private and public works project experienceChange order and claims process experience Proficient at contract document reading and understanding including, but not limited to, agreements, plans/drawings, specifications, schedules, geotechnical reports, etc. Familiarity with Critical Path Method (CPM) and Time Impact Analysis (TIAs)Compensation & BenefitsWe offer a competitive compensation and benefits package designed to support your health, financial well-being, and career growth.Pay Range: $135,000–$170,000, annually, based on experience and role requirementsHealth & Wellness: Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance optionsFinancial Benefits: Retirement savings plans with potential employer contributionsPaid Time Off: Paid holidays and Paid Time Off (PTO)Professional Development: Access to training, certifications, and opportunities for career advancementEmployee Support: Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and wellness resourcesAdditional Perks: Additional company-provided and voluntary benefits may be available based on eligibilityLocationThis position hybrid based out of Milpitas, CA.Expect to do some travel within the Bay Area and Sacramento.Equal Employment OpportunityPreston Companies is an equal opportunity employer.
