Yard Laborer

Location: Fargo, ND Shift and Time: 6:30 am - 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday (Some Saturdays), SeasonalWage: Starting at $20/hour, with higher pay based on experienceValid Driver's License RequiredSummary:Assist in keeping inventory updated and accurate, including shipping, receiving, cycle counts, and transfers among other branches, and advise Lot Foreman and coordinators when inventory is lowWork with Lot Foreman and coordinators on project-specific material needs and equipment/material stagingPre-load or stage materials and equipment for projects, cut material as directed by the Lot Foreman or coordinatorsHelp crews load material for projectsEnsure all loads are safe and equipment is not overloadedLoad and unload material deliveriesAssist in the maintenance of site facilities and equipment - move snow, cut grass, wash trucks and equipment, monitor trash removal, and recyclable materialsSpecial projects as neededOther tasks as defined and assigned by the Lot Foreman and Director - Construction Physical Requirements: Required to stand for long periods of timeMust be able to lift or move up to 50 poundsOccasionally required to walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs or ladders, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouchWork outdoors in a variety of weather conditions Safety is #1 at DFC: Our expectation is that every employee: 1) strictly follows safety policies, rules, and safe work methods. 2) Promptly corrects or reports safety hazards or unsafe conditions. 3) Promptly reports injuries for diagnosis and treatment. 4) Makes regular suggestions for safety process improvements to support continuous improvement in safety.
