Job DetailsMajor Food Group is hiring an experienced Assistant General Manager to lead the team at Dirty French!Located in the Ludlow Hotel on Manhattan's storied Lower East Side, Dirty French is an energetic bistro created by the acclaimed hospitality brand Major Food Group and its co-founders Jeff Zalaznick, Mario Carbone, and Rich Torrisi. The restaurant takes its culinary cues from the timeless dishes of the classic French tradition and enlivens them by utilizing modern techniques and bold, thrilling flavors. Among many accolades, Dirty French holds a glowing two stars from the New York Times.The Assistant General Manager is responsible for assisting the General Manager in running an efficient and profitable operation, maintaining high service quality standards and customer service satisfaction levels while fostering a positive work environment.RESPONSIBILITIES:Works under the direction of the General Manager to manage daily operations of upscale dining restaurantPromote the core values and culture of Major Food Group, including but not limited to excellence in food and beverage, service and hospitalityActively engage in all steps of service, by implementing, overseeing and maintaining all company policies and proceduresSupport forecasting and budgeting for all controllable costsMaintain standards according to DOH, fire safety, and employment regulationsTrain, evaluate and schedule all restaurant staffConsistently monitor, coach and encourage management team and hourly service employee to meet the company's service standardsAssist FOH teams on the floor to ensure a high service level is maintained as neededEnsures all team members are educated on the company's products and servicesRespond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints and reviewsREQUIREMENTS:Minimum 3-5 years in a management role in the Restaurant/Hospitality IndustryBachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field preferredCulinary certificate or comparable experience working in culinary roles preferredAbility to sit and stand for prolonged periods of timeLift and carry up to 50 poundsFamiliarity with restaurant management software such as point of sales, reservations management, inventory management, Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.Demonstrates positive leadership characteristics and supervisory skills, which inspire team members to meet and exceed standardsPrevious experience performing new restaurant opening responsibilities such as training and motivating new employees into a high-performing team and implementing new systems, policies, and procedures strongly preferredCOMPENSATION: $90,000 - $100,000 annually based on experienceBENEFITS:Competitive SalaryMedical/Dental/Vision Insurance with Company subsidyGrowth OpportunitiesProgressive Paid Time OffParental LeaveTuition ReimbursementGenerous Dining AllowanceUnlimited Referral ProgramTransitChek Discount401k Plan with Employer ContributionEqual Employment OpportunityMajor Food Group considers applicants for all positions without regard to race, color, religion, creed, gender, national origin, age, disability, marital or veteran status, sexual orientation, or any other legally protected status.
