Initiates appropriate action.Performs venipuncture, accesses implanted ports and maintains central venous access devices and alternate delivering systemsMaintains efficient and appropriate patient flowPhone triage as assignedDocuments all elements of careServes as a resource to the Medical AssistantsCommunicates all pertinent information and any interventions to the physician or advanced practice providerAssesses patient and family needsQualificationsGraduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education required; BSN preferredOncology experience strongly preferredCurrent RN state license requiredCurrent BCLS certification requiredOCN certification preferredMust be willing to travel between offices as neededWORK ENVIRONMENT:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
