Sr. Cost Accountant

Sr. Cost AccountantBW Converting is looking for a Sr. Cost Accountant to join our dynamic Green Bay, WI team, to provide outstanding support to partners in Finance, Operations, Service, Project Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, Inside/Outside Sales, and People teams. The successful candidate will have previous cost accounting experience in a fast-paced capital equipment manufacturing environment, exceptional attention to detail and communication skills, and positively contribute to our performance by actively partnering with functional leaders to identify opportunities for improvement.Essential FunctionsMonthly closing functions including revenue and margin recognition, inventory and other reserve adjustments (LIFO/NRV/E&O/standard cost variances/warranty), department cost and absorption accruals, et al.Monthly variance analysis including project cost triangle (as sold vs as released vs as shipped), Volume Margin Mix, department cost/absorption/utilizationMonthly (rolling 12-month) forecast updates including project (revenue/cost/cash), department, and working capital financial projectionsPartner with segment finance and department leaders to drive the annual budget preparation, including cost accounts, standard/internal rate updates, and utilization assumptionsOngoing review and maintenance of standard costs and key reportsEnsure appropriate level of control for assigned financial integrity areas (ex., inventory)Work to improve financial processes and communication across the companyParticipate in external audits and implement any corrective findingsQualificationsBachelor's degree requiredAccounting or Finance, CPA preferredMinimum of 5 years of finance or accounting experience in a manufacturing environmentA strong bias for action and drive for resultsExperience with Microsoft D365 (F&O) and Infor XA preferredUnderstanding of manufacturing and supply chain operations as well as lean principlesExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail and organization. Ability to flex appropriately between details and summaries depending on the audience.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and meet tight deadlines.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.Proficient in accounting practices, standards, and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
