DescriptionPOSITION PURPOSE: Full-time and part-time sifts available. Responsible to assure meal(s) assigned is palatable and prepared in orderly, timely manner, using established procedures in response to requirements and as directed by Supervisor.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Others may be assigned:Responsible for prompt and efficient organizing, preparing and serving meals asdirected.Responsible for quality and quantity of food prepared, for the accuracy of menusand diets as served and for honoring resident’s known likes, dislikes and foodpreferences.Able to organize tasks to perform with accuracy, in a safe manner and withconcern for equipment and environment.Informs Supervisor of equipment and dietary supply needs.Participates in in-service and continuing education to remain current of requirements.Non Essential Job FunctionsAll job functions are essentialRequirementsQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:Must possess ability to learn and follow directions.Possess the ability to judge quality of food prepared and aesthetic presentationCapable and willing to decipher and follow guidelines provided for preparation andservice of meals.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of his job.
