Staff Accountant

It’s a great opportunity for growth with a defined career path for advancement with a company that has shown consistent growth year over year.ResponsibilitiesPerform monthly, quarterly, and yearly close processes including preparation of journal entriesReview expenses at a cost center level for accuracy and understanding of key trendsEnsure Balance Sheet accounts are properly calculated, supported, and reconciledInvolved in all aspects of External and Internal audit activitiesPerform analysis as well as assist in reviewing or enhancing analysis and analytical processes and controlsPrepare monthly reporting and analysis of certain key balance sheet and income statement accountsActively participate in process improvement initiatives seeking out opportunities for improvement and implementation of new processes and systemsAssist in developing and maintaining internal SOX documentation and controls, reconciliations, monitor operational/industry/regulatory changes and develop new processes and policies to accommodate accordinglyProvide timely responses and deliverables to requests from internal customers from functions including Sales, Customer Service, Procurement, Supply Chain, Technology, and department ownersParticipate in various department-wide initiativesPerform other job duties and ad hoc projects assignedMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required1-3 years of experience in a full-cycle accounting roleExperience and working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems-preferredStrong understanding of US GAAPMust have advanced Excel skills with proficiency with Vlookups, Xlookups, Pivots and Macros are a plusEagerness and curiosity to learn more and willingness to ask questions to develop understanding and gain proficiency of business operations1st Network Solutions is a full-service staffing and placement firm specializing in the placement of accounting & finance professionals in the Atlanta metro area.
