Role Overview PDI Technologies is seeking a talented and motivated Full Time Data Engineer III to join our elite agile data services team responsible for developing and maintaining our industry-leading cloud-based big data and data analytics infrastructure serving major global fortune 500 companies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in coding data pipelines, administering databases, and working with business users to understand and meet their data requirements. This role involves maintaining high performance and security of our data systems, performing quality assurance, and supporting the company’s data infrastructure, primarily using AWS, Snowflake and DBT. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and manage complex data architecturesLead the development and optimization of data pipelines and ETL processesMentor junior engineers and provide technical guidanceCollaborate with cross-functional teams to meet data requirementsEnsure the reliability, performance, and security of data systems, maintaining complianceConduct data validation, quality assurance, and troubleshoot complex issuesDocument data workflows and technical specificationsParticipate in agile development processes and implement industry best practicesEstimate, plan, and execute data engineering projectsProvide on-call support as requiredDevelop strategies for data storage, processing, and archivingQualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field or equivalent work experience7+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, including designing and managing complex data architectures, developing and optimizing ETL pipelines, and ensuring data integrity, security, and performance in large-scale systemsAdvanced SQL skills and proficiency in multiple programming languagesExtensive experience with data warehousing, specifically SnowflakeProficiency in DBT (Data Build Tool)Extensive experience in Cloud, such as AWS, GCP or AzureStrong problem-solving and project management skillsExcellent communication and leadership abilitiesPreferred QualificationsDomain experience in the Convenience Retail Industry, ERP, Logistics or Financial transaction processing solutionsCertifications such as Snowflake SnowPro Core Certification, dbt Certification, AWS Certified Data Analytics are a plusPDI is committed to offering a well-rounded benefits program, designed to support and care for you, and your family throughout your life and career.
